An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 25th minute of play forced Stoicii's goalkeeper Olimpiu Oncescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olimpiu Oncescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Villa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Stoicii got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Baran. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olimpiu Oncescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Honduras booed when Stoicii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Zbora didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute Edmundo Espiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Oncescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudiu Popescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Honduras's Olimpiu Oncescu threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moises Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olimpiu Oncescu came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Honduras's Moises Tafalla. But to his dismay, Moises Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Honduras's Ivan Navarro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alexandru Zaki in the 56 minute of the game. A throw-in in the 61st minute of the game was made by Alexandru Zaki with Petruț Lovinescu as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mugur Aldulea in the 62nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes of play, Stoicii's Mugur Aldulea made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 67 minutes, Felix Zbora mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stoicii and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Felix Zbora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Stoicii's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olimpiu Oncescu came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Stoicii's Mugur Aldulea got a free kick in the 72nd minute. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olimpiu Oncescu was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. 80 minutes in the game Alexandru Zaki did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Petruț Lovinescu. Mugur Aldulea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Olimpiu Oncescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Olimpiu Oncescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Honduras players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stoicii.
