In the 6th minute, Nàstic de Tarragona's Chico Vidales ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Sixto Fraco came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Abram Sarmiento. But to his dismay, Abram Sarmiento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Vidales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Colombia booed when Nàstic de Tarragona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olívio Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixto Fraco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Navarro. Chico Vidales ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chico Vidales in the 28th minute. Chico Vidales in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Augustin Negreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Abram Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sixto Fraco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Sixto Fraco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Chico Vidales's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Pedro Manzanares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Sixto Fraco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Nàstic de Tarragona's Sixto Fraco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Mastache in the 75th minute of play. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. When Kevin Mastache came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Mastache couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Nàstic de Tarragona's Chico Vidales. But to his dismay, Chico Vidales quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. A collision led to Nàstic de Tarragona getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Dario Albizua hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Chico Vidales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nàstic de Tarragona's supporters rose to their feet, but Chico Vidales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Colombia's zone, Chico Vidales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal and Chico Vidales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chico Vidales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
