Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudio Quiroga went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A throw-in in the 8th minute of the game was made by Carlos Galván with Claudio Quiroga as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 10th minute, Nazario Victorica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudio Quiroga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Monitor Huáscar's Gines Hubieta quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Orlando Tafalla, made in the 19th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 25th minute, İdris Demir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 28 minutes of play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apostol Sokolov was left in no man's land by his defense there! In a very dangerous position, a player in Colombia fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Claudio Quiroga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 38th playminute. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Carlos Galván with Artemio Varas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 43rd minute, Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-2. Orlando Tafalla's late challenge caught a Monitor Huáscar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Tafalla helped the player get up and apologised. Orlando Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Claudio Quiroga made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. If Claudio Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Quiroga in the 56th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Nazario Arechavala replaced Johnny Nyström. If Paulo Fallabes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Quiroga came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 minutes of play, Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Mastache in the 72nd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Monitor Huáscar's Claudio Quiroga. But to his dismay, Claudio Quiroga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Claudio Quiroga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Mastache came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Claudio Quiroga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Monitor Huáscar's Marcelo Illanes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Cazalla, made in the 93rd minute of the game. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Monitor Huáscar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
