With an all-out effort, Sundborn IF's Hílton Magalhães threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ted Holmgren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 12 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Holmgren came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ted Holmgren was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Sundborn IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With an all-out effort, Sundborn IF's Hílton Magalhães threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ted Holmgren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 20th minute of the match Sundborn IF got a corner. Botinho FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Olof Stephansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Jan Håning almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães did a great save. Hílton Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ted Holmgren in the 24th minute of the match. Kalle Askberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Sá in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Holmgren in the 27th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Håning hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Botinho FC's Rodrigo Dionísio got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes in the game, Ted Holmgren fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hílton Magalhães having to interfere. Ted Holmgren took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton Magalhães. Hílton Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Bernardinho Penha scored 3-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kalle Askberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kalle Askberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Penha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ted Holmgren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hílton Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Holmgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Kalle Askberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Holmgren in the 70th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Holmgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Magalhães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ted Holmgren ran back to his position shaking his head. Kaloyan Mitashev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Magalhães having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kaloyan Mitashev came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Hílton Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaloyan Mitashev's shot from short distance in the 84th minute.
