Janusz Tomaka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dorival Vinhas's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the match, FC Szombry's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Vinhas came free, but Janusz Tomaka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Botinho FC from getting a goal against them. Janusz Tomaka came out of the goal and Dorival Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
