Ted Holmgren started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Sundborn IF's Börje Ekström got a free kick in the 9th minute. Janusz Tomaka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Hansson in the 15th minute. Jakub Gabis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kalle Askberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Sven-Olof Stephansson's late challenge caught a FC Szombry's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Olof Stephansson helped the player get up and apologised. Sven-Olof Stephansson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Janusz Tomaka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Ted Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Sundborn IF booed when FC Szombry was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakub Skarpiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ted Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Jakub Gabis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Teofil Giertych shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Askberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of FC Szombry booed when Sundborn IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Pitta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the last second Janusz Tomaka throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ted Holmgren in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience was convinced that Ted Holmgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Janusz Tomaka was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jakub Gabis to make the kick off. Janusz Tomaka came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Sundborn IF's Ted Holmgren. But to his dismay, Ted Holmgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 55 minutes into the match, Ted Holmgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Janusz Tomaka. FC Szombry's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ted Holmgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. After 57 played minutes FC Szombry got a freekick which was hit by Jakub Skarpiak. FC Szombry's Janusz Tomaka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Holmgren in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, FC Szombry was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakub Skarpiak to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Sundborn IF got a corner. FC Szombry's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Olof Stephansson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Janusz Tomaka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Holmgren's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Sundborn IF's Kalle Askberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofil Giertych in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Szombry's zone, Erland Kvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Janusz Tomaka came out of the goal and Erland Kvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sundborn IF made a substitution. Heigo Valt replaced Henning Bennet. Sundborn IF's Aqşin Aläkbärov was substituted for Jan Håning. Sundborn IF's Kaloyan Mitashev was substituted for Ted Holmgren. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Kaloyan Mitashev put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Janusz Tomaka. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaloyan Mitashev in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janusz Tomaka saved FC Szombry from getting behind. 93 minutes into the match, Jakub Gabis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kalle Askberg. Sundborn IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakub Gabis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-1. Sundborn IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
