Jakub Skarpiak kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofil Giertych. After 9 minutes FC Drik's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ulryk Ewertowski who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ulryk Ewertowski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt did a great save. Ted Kobbeltvedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofil Giertych in the 12th minute of play. Gunvald Mitens took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Janusz Tomaka. Janusz Tomaka dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gunvald Mitens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Janusz Tomaka having to make a save. 25 minutes in the game, Teofil Giertych fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ted Kobbeltvedt having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Ernst Barskov made a precise shot to the right of Janusz Tomaka. FC Szombry's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jakub Gabis managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Szombry's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakub Gabis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Kobbeltvedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Drik made a substitution. Calvin Townsley replaced Gunvald Mitens. A collision led to FC Szombry getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Alfred Bartocha hit a great ball. Jakub Skarpiak made in the 43rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cyprian Watarz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zdzislaw Penc during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes FC Szombry got a freekick which was hit by Zdzislaw Penc. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Townsley in the 45th minute of play forced FC Szombry's goalkeeper Janusz Tomaka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jakub Gabis made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play FC Szombry's Zdzislaw Penc was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 52 played minutes FC Szombry got a freekick which was hit by Zdzislaw Penc. With a little luck, FC Szombry's Janusz Tomaka got control of the ball when Calvin Townsley tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Szombry defense, Hemming Glykær kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Janusz Tomaka. The FC Szombry fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Janusz Tomaka should have stopped the shot. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Szombry! The goalkeeper, Janusz Tomaka, was totally fooled by FC Drik's Willy Reitoft, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calvin Townsley got free with Janusz Tomaka in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, FC Szombry's Alfred Bartocha got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, FC Drik's Hemming Glykær dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Janusz Tomaka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hemming Glykær in the 90th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Drik walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
