Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Schubring hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. CD Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Cassaretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ted Kobbeltvedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrique Cassaretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 29th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Enrique Cassaretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. FC Drik made a substitution. Calvin Townsley replaced Gunvald Mitens. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Enrique Cassaretto put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. Enrique Cassaretto took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ted Kobbeltvedt. Ted Kobbeltvedt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique Cassaretto was the one to do the kick off. CD Municipal's attentive Federico Puja managed to snatch the ball when Kjell Björstedt made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. George Forsyth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hemming Glykær in the 53rd minute of play. Enrique Cassaretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 64 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ted Kobbeltvedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martino Armona was slow to take the kick. During this time CD Municipal's players had a chance to rest. Martino Armona made a great header on CD Municipal's corner, it was just that FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt managed to reach the ball for a save.
