The corner ended in Iacob Roman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belo Alvarez in the 8th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Enrique Cassaretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Enrique Cassaretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurino Serena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Enrique Cassaretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurino Serena was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The CD Municipal fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A.D. Alcorcón made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belo Alvarez got free with George Forsyth in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
