After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Ciro Ferdinand fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jean-François Baudu quite easily take care of the ball. Jean-François Baudu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 8th minute of the match. Jean-François Baudu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Nevada, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Mathis Robles kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Jean-François Baudu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Chiriac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Gauthier Carayol fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fierce's protests and gave Gauthier Carayol a yellow card for diving instead. Gauthier Carayol kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-François Baudu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Goicoechea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-François Baudu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jean-François Baudu. Jean-François Baudu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Alfonso Goicoechea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jean-François Baudu, 2-0. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Goicoechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jean-François Baudu was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Alfonso Goicoechea struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Jean-François Baudu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Atlanta. Fierce's Jean-François Baudu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 40th minute of play. Jean-François Baudu was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Mugur Chiriac capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mugur Chiriac really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Alvaro De Pedro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 49th minute Ciro Ferdinand managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Alfonso Goicoechea made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Alou Loret was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fierce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético Atlanta the free kick. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Fierce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alou Loret didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Fierce getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Roy Bergkvist hit a great ball. Mugur Chiriac recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-François Baudu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mugur Chiriac took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-François Baudu. Jean-François Baudu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. In the 76th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 84 minutes into the game, Alfonso Goicoechea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Jean-François Baudu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pankracy Glogowski was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Borys Kluska. Alfonso Goicoechea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Club Atlético Atlanta players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
