Borys Kluska kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Fierce's goal looked a bit too open when Manolo Bacete came free, but Jean-François Baudu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 28 minutes Fierce's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leroy Antunez who took care of the corner kick. If Manolo Bacete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-François Baudu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belo Alvarez in the 34th minute of the match. Andrea Bocelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurino Serena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manolo Bacete in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jean-François Baudu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belo Alvarez was the one to do the kick off.
