Luís Fernando Videss short, quick shot in the 2ndth minute got Amílton Dantas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luís Fernando Vides who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Amílton Dantas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Amílton Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederico Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Dante in the 24th minute of play. Grêmio Meia Praia's Amílton Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Abreu in the 27th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Dante, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Nicasio Abreu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jaru-Uaru's Nicasio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amador Menendo in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederico Zonta saved Jaru-Uaru from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, Grêmio Meia Praia's goalkeeper Amílton Dantas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Mendes. Jaru-Uaru were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Grêmio Meia Praia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mo Ning De took the corner. Jaru-Uaru's Mo Ning De was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amílton Dantas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Amador Menendo made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Luís Fernando Vides put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Amílton Dantas. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jaru-Uaru's goalkeeper Frederico Zonta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amílton Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narciso Mendes in the 77th minute of the match. Nicasio Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicasio Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Nicasio Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Grêmio Meia Praia defense, Luís Fernando Vides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton Dantas. The Grêmio Meia Praia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton Dantas should have stopped the shot. Grêmio Meia Praia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
