In the 14th minute, Mugur Chiriac reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Casimiro Edwardo. The goal made the score 1-0. Augusto Eduino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mugur Chiriac got free with Casimiro Edwardo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atlético Atlanta's Mugur Chiriac slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casimiro Edwardo. That made the score 2-0 after 24 minutes of play. Paolo Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Edwardo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugur Chiriac in the 30th minute. In the 32nd match minute, Club Atlético Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. If Enzo Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mugur Chiriac's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casimiro Edwardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fermin Mikolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Maghiran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Amado Regis came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Club Atlético Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Regis couldn't finish the play. Casimiro Edwardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Talleres's Delmiro Eguzki got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 70thth minute of the game Mugur Chiriac who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Talleres's Casimiro Edwardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adan Charro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Amado Regis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 84 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Erramu. Casimiro Edwardo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mugur Chiriac's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Casimiro Edwardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugur Chiriac in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético Talleres booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Atlético Atlanta had played much better football throughout.
