Oscar Ruggeri made in the 4th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Isaias Jakue. Joseph Schwarzfischer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Maximo Horquizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jorrin Briones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorrin Briones in the 9th minute of play forced Sporting Buceo's goalkeeper Maximo Horquizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Rapsodas Red Devils FC got a freekick which was hit by Eskil Julin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaias Jakue in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferenc Tököli saved Rapsodas Red Devils FC from getting behind. Ferenc Tököli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaias Jakue in the 22nd minute of play. Ferenc Tököli made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Isaias Jakue sent off a good shot on target. After 24 minutes Rapsodas Red Devils FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Juan Sartori who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sporting Buceo's corner Juan Sartori fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ferenc Tököli quite easily take care of the ball. Jorrin Briones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Horquizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorrin Briones in the 27th minute of play. When Jorrin Briones came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Rapsodas Red Devils FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorrin Briones couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Damián Alcazar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Buceo the free kick. Damián Alcazar kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 41 played minutes Rapsodas Red Devils FC got a freekick which was hit by Damián Alcazar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Jakue got free with Ferenc Tököli in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorrin Briones was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Isaias Jakue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferenc Tököli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rapsodas Red Devils FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juan Sartori was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting Buceo's players had a chance to rest. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Jerrold Taranco was substituted for Luís Paulo da Fonseca. Ferenc Tököli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xinto Carreiras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jerrold Taranco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Maximo Horquizar made a huge save. In the 73rd match minute, Sporting Buceo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sartori to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Salah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximo Horquizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerrold Taranco, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ferenc Tököli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xinto Carreiras in the 95th minute of play. The Rapsodas Red Devils FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rapsodas Red Devils FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
