In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Peru's Milagros Fraga got a free kick in the 6th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SILMONT's Qiu Zhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SILMONT's goalkeeper Qiu Zhi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Guimarães in the 31st minute of play. Ryan Monvoisin hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Titouan Canal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The corner led SILMONT's Thomas Albaret to fire away a dangerous shot which Rolando Noboa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 39 played minutes SILMONT got a freekick which was hit by Titouan Canal. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomas Albaret, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as SILMONT's Thomas Albaret slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-1 after 48 minutes of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julian Murillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Ryan Monvoisin made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martial Haas in the 55th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Guimarães came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martial Haas was slow to take the kick. During this time SILMONT's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Ryan Monvoisin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 72 minutes into the match, Martial Haas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martial Haas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 78 minutes into the game, Ryan Monvoisin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Qiu Zhi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qiu Zhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SILMONT's Qiu Zhi got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of SILMONT booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Murillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 94th minute, Julian Murillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SILMONT were victorious despite being under pressure from Peru for much of the match.
