The FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jânio Paraíba should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of play forced FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's goalkeeper Jânio Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jânio Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Jânio Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. When FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's Chico Secco in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Amadeu Vergílio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chico Secco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Secco in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinaldo Custódio to maneuver through the defense. FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO made a substitution. Vito Batista replaced Amadeu Vergílio. After 70 played minutes Cristian Sancho rounded FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Secco in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Vito Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Chico Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 minutes, Daniel Leão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC VERDE-AMARELO PORCO and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card.
