A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Alonso Berganza hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Björk in the 3rd minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Björk in the 8th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Åsbro Flåsegutter's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Wiktor Ekström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Eliseo Mina was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wiktor Ekström in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wiktor Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of the match. After 37 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wiktor Ekström was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 41st minute of play forced Åsbro Flåsegutter's goalkeeper Wiktor Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Örjan Björk took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rolando Noboa to make any attempt to save it. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Stig Bäckman made a throw-in in the 47th minute of the game. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Åsbro Flåsegutter's Júlio Castro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Moises Gayoso in the 51 minute of the game. In the 53rd minute Örjan Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Björk in the 56th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Örjan Björk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 66th minute Moises Gayoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Ekström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Eliseo Mina fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Wiktor Ekström, passed just outside the right post. Åsbro Flåsegutter's Rickard Vallander was substituted for Stig Bäckman. Örjan Björk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Åsbro Flåsegutter's Jakub Michalski was substituted for Örjan Björk. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Milagros Fraga. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Peru:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Åsbro Flåsegutter:s goal.
