Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Emilio Machado scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emilio Machado struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werneck FC - DMZ. In the 14th minute, Emilio Machado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 2-0. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fu Ting Nan in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Donciu saved Werneck FC - DMZ from getting behind. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Emilio Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Felix Donciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Donciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Werneck FC - DMZ were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joélson Amaral took the corner. Felix Donciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Emilio Machado had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 44 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emilio Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. When Primitivo Andino fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ecuador's protests and gave Primitivo Andino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Werneck FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Şahap Hicab hit a great ball. Werneck FC - DMZ made a substitution. Laerte Porto replaced Basílio Baiano. Felix Donciu made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Agustín Saelices sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fu Ting Nan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Werneck FC - DMZ's Luís Coutinho was substituted for Caetano Linares. In the 80th minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Luz in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Felix Donciu made a huge save. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Werneck FC - DMZ were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
