The supporters of Bandung Tigers booed when FC Hammarby Sjöstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Waller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Azevedo scored 2-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sixten Tunander, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haji Gille made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Wang Zheng Yun however managed to control. 29 minutes into the match, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goal looked a bit too open when Zulkarnaen Mandaga came free, but Sixten Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leopoldo Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sixten Tunander was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Sixten Tunander came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Bandung Tigers's Leopoldo Azevedo. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Mekki Item took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ozan Heybetli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ozan Heybetli showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Hammarby Sjöstad fully deserved thier win.
