In the 36th match minute, Artigas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Monteagudo to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Florentino Fidalgo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artigas made a substitution. Sadurni Nadal replaced Florentino Fidalgo. Artigas's Lia Engraba was substituted for Leocadio Teja. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lia Engraba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lia Engraba came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Artigas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lia Engraba couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 64 minutes into the match, Artigas's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Furtado Codina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Furtado Codina made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lautaro Mancebo in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Furtado Codina saved Artigas from getting behind. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Furtado Codina having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Lia Engraba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lia Engraba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Lia Engraba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. 91 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Lia Engraba came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
