Jardim América FC's Patrick do Vale managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Primitivo Andino in the 7 minute of the game. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Agostinho Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Owen Gallagher ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Patrick do Vale managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 高文川 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Daniel Zorita sped through Jardim América FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 高文川. 高文川 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of play. Agostinho Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 高文川 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Agostinho Bittencourt notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Ferris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafa Alves during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

In the 54th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Jardim América FC's 高文川 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Jardim América FC from getting a goal against them. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jardim América FC's Richard Vargas was substituted for Téo Cruz. 高文川 made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Bittencourt in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with 高文川 in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute Agostinho Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 高文川 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Cristian Sancho scored 1-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 高文川, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Ferris in the 94th minute of the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Jardim América FC and deserved their victory. The Jardim América FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
