Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Menchu FC's Gabriele Batistuta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Menchu FC's Camilo Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 6th minute of play. Camilo Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Salvidor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gabriele Batistuta might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Gayoso made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Menchu FC's Roberto Carlo. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. Peru's Eliseo Mina suffered a sore thigh after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Roberto Carlo's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roberto Carlo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Menchu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Carlo to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. When Gabriele Batistuta came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Menchu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriele Batistuta couldn't finish the play. Julian Murillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Camilo Salvidor came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Murillo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Menchu FC's goalkeeper Camilo Salvidor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 64th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 68th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Salvidor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Menchu FC's Gaston Firmo was substituted for Uriel Gorri. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 75th minute of play. After 76 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucas Martínez Quarta who took care of the corner kick. In the 83rd minute Gaston Firmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Salvidor made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th minute, Caetano Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Salvidor acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joaquin Prats. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdoulay Doucouré in the 94th minute of the match. Abdoulay Doucouré struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menchu FC. After 96 minutes of play, Menchu FC's Gaston Firmo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
