Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cassius Byrne kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute Cássio Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 minutes, Vural Akyol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Go Ahead Eagles and the USA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 11 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Vural Akyol. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Amorebieta. Thanks to some nice moves Fernando Amorebieta could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Marco Day however easily saved by the left post. Cassius Byrne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Scarafia Ghost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Lewandowski came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes in the game, Erling Lewandowski dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Fernando Amorebieta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Day came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando Amorebieta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. Panos Kaklamanos hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, USA's Cassius Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Scarafia Ghost made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Monty Rogers scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scarafia Ghost, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erling Lewandowski got free with Marco Day in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, Panos Kaklamanos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Monty Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Scarafia Ghost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erling Lewandowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Scarafia Ghost in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Amorebieta in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Cássio Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru was substituted for Erling Lewandowski. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Bâru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Iustin Bâru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giorgos Kontodimos in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. Iustin Bâru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost got control of the ball when Khalid Parry tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Go Ahead Eagles could leave the field as winners, despite USA having more of the ball for most of the match.
