Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mauro Primeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidiu Adrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Mauro Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Horst-Peter Unterberger got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dante Lacasa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ovidiu Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiger De Hond in the 25th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Mauro Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 29th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Çağdaş Yuvakuran kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Mauro Primeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Primeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 37th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Adrian skillfully saved the ball. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Primeiro in the 45th minute. Horst-Peter Unterberger kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Adrian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tiger De Hond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. After 53 minutes Poli Timisoara's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Luca Zorita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ovidiu Adrian could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 59th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Primeiro came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiger De Hond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67thth minute of the game Mauro Primeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 71st minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 78th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Primeiro in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Sascha Kulovitz hit a great ball. Vilhelm Larsson charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vilhelm Larsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Ovidiu Adrian, was totally fooled by Mexico's Joel Gaona, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Poli Timisoara from getting a goal against them. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
