Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 90th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Anis Achour. Symba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Symba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
