Ole-Einar Indergård made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by RB Chubut's Juan Sorin. Marian Banas had several of the RB Chubut's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Robert Vassenius as he didn't even see the shot coming. Marian Banas's late challenge caught a RB Chubut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Banas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th minute Alfonso Bikendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Bergo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Nerd Herd's Lars Bergo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Bikendi in the 18th minute of play. Robert Vassenius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marian Banas's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the The Nerd Herd defense, Justino Heli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lars Bergo. The The Nerd Herd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lars Bergo should have stopped the shot. Robert Vassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bård Kjærvik in the 29th minute of the match. Mons Heier kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Bikendi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lars Bergo was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. The supporters of The Nerd Herd booed when RB Chubut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Baristo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

RB Chubut's Andrézinho Pelé was substituted for Alfonso Bikendi. Marian Banas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Vassenius having to interfere. After some careless play in the RB Chubut defense, Marian Banas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Vassenius. The RB Chubut fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Vassenius should have stopped the shot. Odin Vangen hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Juan Sorin didn't quite understand what happened when in the 87 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Ole-Einar Indergård hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Bård Kjærvik hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Nerd Herd fans cheered their team off the field, for while RB Chubut had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
