Heavenly Hooters's Lennie Rusby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Sandberg in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes Heavenly Hooters's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filcho Slivkov who took care of the corner kick. Safet Hands made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brandon Wright in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brandon Wright. Lennie Rusby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Måns Sandberg went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Måns Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lennie Rusby having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Måns Sandberg in the 12th minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Huang Fei Ting shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Rusby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Lebron in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennie Rusby saved Heavenly Hooters from getting behind. After some careless play in the Heavenly Hooters defense, Måns Sandberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lennie Rusby. The Heavenly Hooters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennie Rusby should have stopped the shot. Lennie Rusby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Måns Sandberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Rusby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lennie Rusby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norrlands Athen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filcho Slivkov in the 29th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jacinto da Silveira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lennie Rusby quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lennie Rusby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Måns Sandberg's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Heavenly Hooters's goal looked a bit too open when Måns Sandberg came free, but Lennie Rusby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennie Rusby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Sandberg in the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Heavenly Hooters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Moss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juan Lebron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lennie Rusby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Lebron, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Safet Hands showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty King in the 57th minute of the match. Måns Sandberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lennie Rusby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Måns Sandberg ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Måns Sandberg got free with Lennie Rusby in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Ross Clark fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Heavenly Hooters's protests and gave Ross Clark a yellow card for diving instead. In the 62nd match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Clark to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd match minute, Heavenly Hooters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Clark to maneuver through the defense. Juan Lebron received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lennie Rusby came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Lebron slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 64th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Calle Bergfelt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lennie Rusby. Calle Bergfelt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Heavenly Hooters's Adrian Collier was substituted for Richárd Bódog. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Shane Beesley replaced Ross Clark. After some careless play in the Heavenly Hooters defense, Gilbert Hermansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lennie Rusby. The Heavenly Hooters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennie Rusby should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute, Gilbert Hermansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Norrlands Athen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.
The Norrlands Athen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Norrlands Athen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
