Marco Sabóia started the match with the kick off. Luiz Eduardo Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Se7e's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Marquez came free, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severino Marquez in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Eduardo Novaes saved Se7e from getting behind. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Se7e's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Novaes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, MUSHIBA FC's Raí Nogueira got a free kick in the 26th minute. Severino Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Eduardo Novaes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Eduardo Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Marquez in the 36th minute of play. Arnaldo Mattos's late challenge caught a Se7e's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo Mattos helped the player get up and apologised. Arnaldo Mattos kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Luiz Eduardo Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walmir França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Chiquinho do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Bezerra in the 67th minute of play forced MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho do Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Severino Marquez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Eduardo Novaes came out and tried to block the shot, but Severino Marquez slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 72nd minute. After 77 minutes, Cacá Ramalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MUSHIBA FC and the Se7e players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Se7e a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Remo Neto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MUSHIBA FC's Chiquinho do Nascimento. 1-1. In the 80th minute, MUSHIBA FC's Gil Meira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as MUSHIBA FC's Severino Marquez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Eduardo Novaes. That made the score 1-3 after 91 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Severino Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Eduardo Novaes was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.

The MUSHIBA FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
