When Joshua Miralles fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Joshua Miralles a yellow card for diving instead. Joshua Miralles hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Liver Bird's Camilo Giguère ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Liver Bird's Jake Hammer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Fontirroig in the 43rd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mario Fernandino to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Jonny Gutknecht sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Camilo Freixa skillfully saved the ball.
