Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caballito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but William Sénéchal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced Caballito's goalkeeper William Sénéchal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes Caballito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which William Sénéchal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. William Sénéchal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Gică Hagi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. In the 13th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Sénéchal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Caballito's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but William Sénéchal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Gică Hagi scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-1. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Daniel Zorita sped through Caballito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of William Sénéchal. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caballito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. William Sénéchal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. William Sénéchal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of the match. Fausto Natanael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gică Hagi to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Caballito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Guter to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Moise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but William Sénéchal firmly grabbed it by the left post. William Sénéchal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. William Sénéchal came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Sénéchal having to interfere. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. William Sénéchal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Fausto Natanael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caballito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Natanael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. William Sénéchal made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Gică Hagi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gică Hagi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristian Sancho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of William Sénéchal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 86th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Florentino Guter hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. 92 minutes into the match, Caballito's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but William Sénéchal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ecuador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
