With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Seguinus saved ASF BAIA MARE -MM- from getting behind. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduard Semeghin's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Aron Zgrăbunţa's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aron Zgrăbunţa helped the player get up and apologised. Aron Zgrăbunţa kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Rosendo Seguinus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Rosendo Seguinus despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ciprian Sângeorzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rosendo Seguinus could save by the left post. Victor Huștiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 69th minute Ciprian Sângeorzan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Eduard Semeghin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 79 minutes, Eduard Semeghin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduard Semeghin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Rosendo Seguinus made a huge save. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Cristian Sancho to score against Rosendo Seguinus in ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goal. 0-2 after 89 minutes. In the 92nd minute, ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luis Andino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of ASF BAIA MARE -MM- booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
