In the 8th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Prata to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Luz in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannes Dresdner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 17th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Prata to maneuver through the defense. I Putu í Lon Jacobsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Alfredo Paraibano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hannes Dresdner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to FÊNIX F.C. getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Valério Bastos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FÊNIX F.C.'s zone, Waud Soetemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Paraibano came out of the goal and Waud Soetemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper Alfredo Paraibano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by I Putu í Lon Jacobsen. Hannes Dresdner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mauro Luz's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Mauro Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hannes Dresdner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s Marquinhos Teixeira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Peter Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alfredo Paraibano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

FÊNIX F.C.'s Mauro Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waud Soetemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Mauro Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hannes Dresdner was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. After 58 played minutes Black Dragons got a freekick which was hit by Rico Roy. Marquinhos Teixeira's late challenge caught a Black Dragons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marquinhos Teixeira helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes FÊNIX F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Teixeira. Jailson Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Black Dragons's zone, Marquinhos Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hannes Dresdner came out of the goal and Marquinhos Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stephane Pfiffer hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Mauro Luz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hannes Dresdner. Black Dragons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Kauã Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, FÊNIX F.C.'s Mauro Luz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hannes Dresdner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute FÊNIX F.C. were awarded a corner. Marquinhos Teixeira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Marquinhos Teixeira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Black Dragons's Hannes Dresdner did a great save. 88 minutes into the game, I Putu í Lon Jacobsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Alfredo Paraibano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When I Putu í Lon Jacobsen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Black Dragons fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that I Putu í Lon Jacobsen couldn't finish the play. Kauã Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Waud Soetemans took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Paraibano. FÊNIX F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Black Dragons manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FÊNIX F.C. to win.
