Ricart Mendiguren was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 19 minutes into the match, Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's goal looked a bit too open when Lothar Schorling came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Ricart Mendiguren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edwin van der Sar. After a defensive mix-up in Ｕｎｉãｏ Ｓｐｏｒｔ Ｃｌｕｂｅ Ｐａｒｅｄｅｓ's zone, Ricart Mendiguren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
