The crowd rose to their feet as Jerónimo Furtado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roch Olchawa. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. Jakub Szczepanowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th match minute, União Sport Clube Paredes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horia Taşcu to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, ACR SA's Fred-Marc Firmino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin van der Sar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in ACR SA's zone, Jerónimo Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roch Olchawa came out of the goal and Jerónimo Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute Zorko Hendrickx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred-Marc Firmino in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waclaw Dranka in the 33rd minute of play forced União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, ACR SA's Bogumil Dziurowicz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edwin van der Sar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Alexandre Santana sped through ACR SA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roch Olchawa. After 39 minutes, Alexandre Santana made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. ACR SA's Roch Olchawa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernardo lago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roch Olchawa having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zorko Hendrickx to make the kick off. Alexandre Santana struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Roch Olchawa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for União Sport Clube Paredes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 57th minute of play forced ACR SA's goalkeeper Roch Olchawa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roch Olchawa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jerónimo Furtado's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Jerónimo Furtado put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roch Olchawa. After 72 minutes of play, União Sport Clube Paredes's Jakub Szczepanowski made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roch Olchawa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the game, Waclaw Dranka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ACR SA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União Sport Clube Paredes the free kick. In the 76th match minute, ACR SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waclaw Dranka to maneuver through the defense. Roch Olchawa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Santana in the 77th minute of play. Roch Olchawa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Szczepanowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, ACR SA's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Szczepanowski came free, but Roch Olchawa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jerónimo Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roch Olchawa was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jerónimo Furtado in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roch Olchawa saved ACR SA from getting behind. União Sport Clube Paredes were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after ACR SA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Santana took the corner. União Sport Clube Paredes's Alexandre Santana was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Roch Olchawa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Jerónimo Furtado put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roch Olchawa. ACR SA's Roch Olchawa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 92nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Jerónimo Furtado put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Roch Olchawa. After 95 minutes, Jerónimo Furtado made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. ACR SA's Roch Olchawa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. União Sport Clube Paredes had played much better football throughout.
