União Sport Clube Paredes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teofilo Salomon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 38th minute Alvaro Calvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Düsseldorf FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerónimo Furtado came free, but Feliciano Horado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Düsseldorf FC's Feliciano Horado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Santana in the 41st minute of play. Jakub Szczepanowski scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Feliciano Horado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Jerónimo Furtado made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Düsseldorf FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Calvino. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Calvino in the 57th minute of play forced União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Düsseldorf FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dabi Saens came free, but Feliciano Horado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Düsseldorf FC's Feliciano Horado got control of the ball when Alexandre Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Düsseldorf FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. União Sport Clube Paredes were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
