BRASIL.Sp's Caio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Mendes in the 17th minute of play. Agostinho Domingues struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Caio Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter Gala. If Durval Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Eduardo Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adilson Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lon Lanteigne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Luís Eduardo Valle made a huge save. In the 33rd minute, Celso Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Meireles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Eduardo Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Luís Eduardo Valle made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Lon Lanteigne sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of BRASIL.Sp booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lon Lanteigne's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luís Eduardo Valle firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luís Eduardo Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Durval Meireles's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Durval Meireles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Luís Eduardo Valle made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Araújo to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Durval Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agostinho Domingues got free with Caio Penha in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute Lon Lanteigne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BRASIL.Sp's Luís Guilherme Vasconcelos was substituted for Lon Lanteigne. 75 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Mailson Dal Bello came free, but Luís Eduardo Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute BRASIL.Sp were awarded a corner. Mame Picka went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 84th minute Mailson Dal Bello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Valle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Eduardo Valle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After some careless play in the Inter Gala defense, Luís Guilherme Vasconcelos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo Valle. The Inter Gala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo Valle should have stopped the shot. In the 91st minute, Zézinho Severo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Meireles took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Eduardo Valle. Luís Eduardo Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Inter Gala's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
