Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Fábio Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Luís Eduardo Valle made a huge save. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélder Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Inter Gala fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Barrenta SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
