Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hortêncio Linhares kicked off to start the match. The supporters of INTER FC booed when Barrenta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Marquinhos Messias hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, João Carlos Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Basílio Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fábio Lima. Luiz Fábio Lima in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Basílio Maranhense, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. INTER FC's Basílio Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save INTER FC from getting a goal against them. After 18 minutes, Marquinhos Messias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the INTER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marquinhos Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Basílio Maranhense was a little too slow when Yuri Alberto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barrenta SC! If Angelo Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Basílio Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 52nd match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Batista to maneuver through the defense. Ricardinho Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Barrenta SC's Remo Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 minutes, Hernani Couto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrenta SC and the INTER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Lima in the 63rd minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Basílio Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardinho Batista to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Falcão came free, but Basílio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Albertinho Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER FC and the Barrenta SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 73 minutes into the game, one of INTER FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 79th minute, Ricardinho Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Maranhense came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrenta SC's Luiz Fábio Lima. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 91st minute, Angelo Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrenta SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Luiz Fábio Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Maranhense having to interfere.
