With an all-out effort, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Marcelo Vidal threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guilherme Peres, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edin Džeko was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Edin Džeko put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Marcelo Vidal. 72 minutes into the match, Frederico Lago notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Amadeo Rufo. Amadeo Rufo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If André Luiz Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeo Rufo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardinho Maia in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute Edin Džeko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
