EoDu Uai Sôccer's Wilson Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Sanches in the 9th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Renatinho Paiva during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to EoDu Uai Sôccer getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Renatinho Paiva hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belmiro Mendes got free with Carlinhos da Costa in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 23rd minute, Dário Gomes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Pedrão Sá was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. EoDu Uai Sôccer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C 2 Janeiro RS the free kick. The supporters of E.C 2 Janeiro RS booed when EoDu Uai Sôccer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. EoDu Uai Sôccer's Wilson Severo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Valadares in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, EoDu Uai Sôccer's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Valadares came free, but Wilson Severo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inácio Pinheiro hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Carlinhos da Costa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Belmiro Mendes sent off a good shot on target. Carlinhos da Costa came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by EoDu Uai Sôccer's Pedrão Sá. But to his dismay, Pedrão Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pedrão Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Valadares was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Basílio Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E.C 2 Janeiro RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlinhos da Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Mendes in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Pedrão Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Pontes's late challenge caught a EoDu Uai Sôccer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Pontes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to E.C 2 Janeiro RS getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Paulo Pontes hit a great ball. Angelo Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Pedrão Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlinhos da Costa was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Carlinhos da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Sá in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, E.C 2 Janeiro RS's João Francisco de Mendonça got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Carlinhos da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, EoDu Uai Sôccer could leave the field as winners, despite E.C 2 Janeiro RS having more of the ball for most of the match.
