Allan Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Pontes's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Ramiro de Lara made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gabriel Vinhas however managed to control. Qu Jun Fan hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Hudson Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra do Interior's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Sergipano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gino Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michael Åkerström got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gabriel Vinhas. Paulo Godoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Gino Velasco made a huge save. The supporters of Palestra do Interior booed when Relyn Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro de Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Relyn Futebol Clube's Gino Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Relyn Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Gabriel Vinhas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Herbert Pankowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Godoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gino Velasco having to make a save. Relyn Futebol Clube's Gino Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Relyn Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Vinhas in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Varela saved Palestra do Interior from getting behind. In the 58thth minute of the game Gabriel Vinhas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 65 minutes Palestra do Interior's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gabriel Vinhas who took care of the corner kick. In the 68th match minute, Palestra do Interior was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Relyn Futebol Clube's Walter Samuel was substituted for Genaro Valdemoro. Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago was substituted for Paulo Godoi. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Niclas Danielsson replaced Hudson Sergipano. After 70 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Ferreira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Lago in the 82nd minute of play forced Relyn Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gino Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gino Velasco came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Palestra do Interior's Vitório Lago. But to his dismay, Vitório Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Palestra do Interior's Erruki Sotes was substituted for Ernani Velasco. Walter Samuel hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Gabriel Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
