INTER FC's Leon Kosmatka proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save INTER FC from getting a goal against them. Alf Elg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Elg came free, but Leon Kosmatka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho Vaz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Bertioga's Benedito Coelho got a free kick in the 26th minute. 27 minutes into the game, INTER FC's Fiori de Lara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruninho Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 31st match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Alves to maneuver through the defense. Thiago de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Leon Kosmatka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Troiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Kosmatka was a little too slow when Anderson Pombal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alf Elg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruninho Vaz made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Emerson Cruz sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Elg in the 57th minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Leon Kosmatka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Veiga hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Emerson Cruz had to leave the field with a concussion. After 73 minutes, Cristian Drăgănoiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Bertioga and the INTER FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares was substituted for Emerson Cruz. A collision led to SC Bertioga getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Cristian Drăgănoiu hit a great ball. Thiago de Barros was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 83 minutes into the match. SC Bertioga's Sílvio Castro was substituted for Gildo de Lima. In the 83rd minute, one of INTER FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for INTER FC. The referee gave SC Bertioga a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Serafim Queiroz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of INTER FC's Leon Kosmatka. 2-1. INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Castro scored 3-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leon Kosmatka, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute, Flavio Troiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
