A wasted opportunity for Jenipapo SC. 6 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Cunha came free, but Patric Isaksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Raphael Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patric Isaksson. Barrenta SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raphael Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nariman Mansourian came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Aníbal Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Agustín Tastzian made a precise shot to the right of David Seaman. Jenipapo SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Junior in the 25th minute of play. Patric Isaksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Valdemar Cabral kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Patric Isaksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arsenio Gipuzkoa in the 31st minute of play. Urban Stenman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but David Seaman made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 38th minute of play forced Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Patric Isaksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Raphael Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Patric Isaksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aníbal Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Agustín Tastzian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Seaman came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Tastzian slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agustín Tastzian made a kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barrenta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arsenio Gipuzkoa was slow to take the kick. During this time Jenipapo SC's players had a chance to rest. David Seaman came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Barrenta SC's Urban Stenman. But to his dismay, Urban Stenman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fellipe Lago in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Seaman saved Jenipapo SC from getting behind. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nariman Mansourian in the 63rd minute of play. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urban Stenman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Jenipapo SC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Vinicio Junior hit a great ball. In the 68th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Junior to maneuver through the defense. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Lago in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Tastzian came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes Barrenta SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arsenio Gipuzkoa who took care of the corner kick. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Leite in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jenipapo SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Barrenta SC.
