The SC Bertioga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruninho Vaz should have stopped the shot. Marcelinho Barral made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Anderson Pombal sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute SC Bertioga were awarded a corner. Roceira SC's Marcelinho Barral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Troiano in the 37th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 68 played minutes SC Bertioga got a freekick which was hit by Alf Elg. 71 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goal looked a bit too open when Ksawery Winnicki came free, but Bruninho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Haaland in the 72nd minute of play forced SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Bruninho Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 played minutes Roceira SC got a freekick which was hit by Guto Jorge. If Alf Elg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. When Nilmar Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Roceira SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilmar Trigo couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Alf Elg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Winnicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
