The crowd rose to their feet as Poetass FC's Zeng Xu Yuan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Seaman. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. José Maria Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Witalis Brysz in the 24th minute of play. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeng Xu Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aníbal Alagoano in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Goiano saved Poetass FC from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, Aníbal Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Maria Goiano. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aníbal Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 74th minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper José Maria Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Alagoano got free with José Maria Goiano in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zeng Xu Yuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Poetass FC's José Maria Goiano got control of the ball when Aníbal Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line.
