The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Minotauro's Duarte de Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Torres in the 4th minute of play. Ricardo Zamora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chicão Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Minotauro were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after YESHUA F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raphael Tepedino took the corner. After a rather tough play, Minotauro's Vladimir Veiga got a free kick in the 9th minute. The supporters of YESHUA F.C booed when Minotauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, YESHUA F.C's David Torres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Duarte de Barros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Eger during the 13th minute. In the 52nd minute, Matt Sharples made a precise shot to the right of Duarte de Barros. Minotauro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 55th minute, Chicão Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to YESHUA F.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Lino Valle hit a great ball. Ricardo Zamora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Torres in the 74th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Duarte de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anatole Guidon kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match.
