Ismael Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Raúl Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Alexsandro Tróia sped through Morro Grande E.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ismael Chaves. Rafa Capixaba hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to Morro Grande E.C getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Cristian Duarte hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Cido de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Duarte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Cristian Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristian Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. Ismael Chaves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niceto Xacintu went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 56 minutes into the match, Alexsandro Tróia notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Morro Grande E.C's Ismael Chaves. Ismael Chaves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ismael Chaves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexsandro Tróia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 61 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Ismael Chaves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cido de Medeiros. Thiago de Mendonça received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ismael Chaves came out and tried to block the shot, but Thiago de Mendonça slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 67th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Cido de Medeiros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ismael Chaves, 0-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cido de Medeiros got free with Ismael Chaves in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ismael Chaves came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Flying Dutch's Alexsandro Tróia. But to his dismay, Alexsandro Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Morro Grande E.C's Ismael Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido de Medeiros in the 85th minute of play. Ismael Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Xacintu in the 86th minute of the match. Alexsandro Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Ismael Chaves made a huge save. In the 94th minute Niceto Xacintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when Flying Dutch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Diogo Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
