Josue Barro made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Raphael Cunha sent off a good shot on target. After 6 played minutes Jenipapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Cunha. 8 minutes into the match, Aníbal Alagoano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Flying Dutch's Josue Barro. Josue Barro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cido de Medeiros in the 13th minute of play. Aníbal Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aníbal Alagoano took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josue Barro. Josue Barro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jenipapo SC were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Flying Dutch's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arsenio Gipuzkoa took the corner. Arsenio Gipuzkoa made a great header on Jenipapo SC's corner, it was just that Flying Dutch's Josue Barro managed to reach the ball for a save. Flying Dutch's Josue Barro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes Flying Dutch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arsenio Gipuzkoa who took care of the corner kick. Jenipapo SC's Raphael Cunha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Josue Barro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 26 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Xacintu came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josue Barro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Junior in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 minutes of play, Jenipapo SC's Aníbal Alagoano made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josue Barro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Josue Barro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 33rd minute of play. David Seaman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cido de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinicio Junior received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Josue Barro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 44th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Josue Barro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aníbal Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinicio Junior in the 51st minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Josue Barro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 53 minutes, Fabian Ivașcu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flying Dutch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Ivașcu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 minutes, Eurico Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flying Dutch and the Jenipapo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Aníbal Alagoano came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Jenipapo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Alagoano couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 60th minute of play forced Flying Dutch's goalkeeper Josue Barro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico Batista got free with David Seaman in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Seaman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After taking down the ball on Jenipapo SC's corner Arsenio Gipuzkoa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Josue Barro quite easily take care of the ball. Arsenio Gipuzkoa went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Raphael Cunha got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Raphael Cunha got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Jenipapo SC. In the 81st minute Vinicio Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josue Barro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josue Barro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Vinicio Junior cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Josue Barro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eurico Batista. Josue Barro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 87th minute of the match. Josue Barro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aníbal Alagoano's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Josue Barro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Jenipapo SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Flying Dutch had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
