Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Morro Grande E.C from getting a goal against them. In the 6th minute, Claudinei Brito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Minotauro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Claudinei Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernando Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Tepedino in the 12th minute of the match. Leonel Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Fernando Veloso made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Claudinei Brito sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Fernando Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Brito. Claudinei Brito took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Veloso. Fernando Veloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 25 minutes into the game, Sandro Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Fernando Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 29 minutes, Claudinei Brito made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Eliseu Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 5-0 became the score in the 34th minute when Claudinei Brito elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Sandro Quintal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Veloso, 6-0. Sandro Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Fernando Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Claudinei Brito cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Fernando Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Morro Grande E.C's Fernando Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Brito in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Minotauro booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonel Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Minotauro's Claudinei Brito in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fernando Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 91 played minutes, Morro Grande E.C's José Augusto Travassos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Duarte de Barros came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Morro Grande E.C reached it. In the 97th minute, Wilian de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Fernando Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Minotauro walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
