Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Balduíno Flores having to interfere. Maurício Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Caneças in the 16th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Balduíno Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Carrapichel Angolano booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Caneças in the 28th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 31st minute. The supporters of Carrapichel Angolano booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toni Akwa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 39th minute, when Tiago Caneças scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 1-0.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Axel Tasis. In the 60th minute of the match Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig broke free and sent away a ball that went into the goal by the right post. 1-1. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Akwa came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Afonso Lando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Afonso Lando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 73rd minute, Toni Akwa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrapichel Angolano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 79th minute Toni Akwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viveque Gonçalves hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Akwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Balduíno Flores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Afonso Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Carrapichel Angolano fully deserved thier win.
